One Whirl Yoga's Story
Updated: Jun 22
Ten years ago, I started practicing yoga to find balance, strength, and peace.
As I watched the practitioners in the studios increase, and the studios themselves increase in number, I recognized a need for a network to connect everyone.
One Whirl Yoga Fest ran from 2012-2018 at Pittsburgh's Point State Park, and drew thousands every year. One Whirl Yoga in downtown Pittsburgh's Market Square brought hundreds together each week. Yoga events held at Pittsburgh hotels benefitted non-profits such as animal rescue, Parkinson's awareness, and cancer research.
As an instructor in meditation, I practice yoga every day, either in classes or alone. I cannot imagine life without it. It brings me awakeness, heightened creativity, and stability. To connect with others who are seeking a simple way to find peace, love and understanding, here is a list of the yoga and health facilities and studios in Western PA. One look at the depth of this accounting will bring an awareness of how large the yoga community is here, and how you can become part of it!
